Primary Headteacher Ms. Rashida Hartley
I'm delighted to welcome you to Andalusia Academy. I joined Andalusia as a class teacher in 2015. Shortly after I got the opportunity to become a teacher with leadership responsibilities, working as an Assistant Headteacher, whilst teaching year one. This was followed by a year as an Acting Headteacher. I am now the primary Headteacher. In this time a lot of developments have taken place in teachers, and learning and the school environment.
At Andalusia Academy in addition to providing a rich Islamic curriculum, we also aim to provide a curriculum that engages and motivates pupils, with creativity and purpose at the heart of all learning. All pupils are cared for and respected as individuals. They are given the best possible opportunity to reach their full potential, in the classroom and beyond. Together; parents, pupils and staff, we aim to give each child the skills and knowledge to create a better understanding of the world they face now, and in the future.
I have had a varied teaching career working in both state and independent schools in the UK, USA, and Middle East.
Outside of school, I enjoy reading and spending precious time with my family.
