World Book Week a big hit for the school

Date: 09 March 2015

True to AAB tradition, World Book Week was a resounding hit for pupils...and staff!

Held between Monday 2 and Friday 6 March 2015, activities included play and performances, writing competitions and dressing up as characters from pupils' favourite books - staff in primary even dressed up as Wally as part of a "Where's Wally?' competition for pupils with a trail leading to the 'Real Wally'...no prizes for who was 'nominated' for this!

During the celebratory week, a book fair from Scholastic generated £600 in sales; half of which will go towards buying books for the school library

A commendable effort from the school community and a drive for pushing literacy across both settings will form part of the school's improvement and development programme inshaAllah
