Teacher: Miss Karakalou
Miss Karakalou has a Degree in English Language and Literature, having studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece and at the University of Lleida in Spain. Following her studies she gained valuable experience working as a private tutor teaching English as a second language as well as a supply teacher.
Miss Karakalou’s approach in teaching is child-centred with individual development strategies set out by her for each student. She also believes that quality learning is best achieved through cooperation between the school and the family; therefore, she always tries to build strong relationships between herself and the parents.
Learning Support Assistant: Mrs. Mohamed
Asalam alaykom warhamatullahi wabarakatu,
My name is Aziza Mohamed and I am a Learning Support Assistant for year 1 primary students at Andalusia Academy. My job brings me a lot of joy as I am able to teach children about Islam. This is knowledge I feel they will be able to carry with them for the
rest of their lives. The fact that I am able to make a difference in the lives of these young children, motivates me to work hard at what I do and to encourage others to do the same. When I am not working at Andalusia Academy, I am at home with my family. Even though working at Andalusia is wonderful, my favourite job will always be being a mother and a wife.
